Kixewa and Luwa – Niassa Mansion
Kixewa means King Fish in the local Kimwani language and is one of two original historical rooms overlooking the garden at the rear of the Niassa mansion. Featuring an intricately carved 4 poster king size bed, with huge romantic mosquito net, crisp cotton linen and silk throw, air conditioning and ceiling fan, en-suite bathroom with twin basins, separate enclosed toilet, a large marble shower and a stunning range of guest amenities. Kixewa also has a small lounge, which can accommodate up to 2 small children in an inter-leading room.
Luwa is one of our most popular and largest rooms. It has a beautiful carved 4 poster king size bed, with an Indian trunk to store valuables. Large enough to accommodate a lounge area, and a hand crafted tall mahogany cupboard. It has an en-suite bathroom with a large marble shower, twin basins, and an outside shower with a view down a side alley to the sea!
Both historical rooms share the entire length of the shady Niassa back veranda that looks out over the gardens, palm trees and onto a small dip pool which is perfect for cooling off during the heat of the day.
