Garden Rooms

Our 4 garden rooms are Juwa (sun), Brubuletta (butterfly) Tataruga (turtle) and Makonde (The Makonde tribe is famous for their intricate wood carvings in Northern Mozambique). Once the original trade and storage buildings for the Niassa mansion we rehabilitated these ruins to feature three spacious twin bedded, air-conditioned rooms (Juwa, Tataruga, Makonde) and one beautiful King size room that features its own outside coral shower (Brubuletta)  All 4 rooms have large verandas with comfortable chairs to soak up the sun and watch the birds that swoop down to drink from the Niassa dip pool which is just a few barefoot steps away. All four garden rooms have en-suite marble showers and twin basins and are popular with groups of friends, families and honeymooners.

We’d like to thank you for making our honeymoon on Ibo Island an unforgettable experience. Our room on first sight was amazing and luxurious, the whole lodge is run and managed perfectly;. We bonded ( we think ) with the weaver birds, Ibo the dog, the wonderful staff , Kissinger, Insa, Nacir, Joao, Anli & the rest, and the chefs Bombina, Ussene and Richard, and all the birds by the pool.

We leave with happy memories of every moment, even the sunburn. Thanks to Rob & Glyn for a great arrival at the sand bank too. We will dream of returning one day.
