Relaxing at Ibo Island Lodge

Ibo Island Lodge is located on the prime waterfront site where romantic dhows sail out to sea on each high tide. The architecture is a restoration of a style that originated over one hundred years ago with coral and lime walls over a meter thick, and original teak beams.

Room Please

Our rooms are individual, a simple design, with splashes of opulence. The high lofty ceilings, indigenous solid teak, and mahogany handcrafted furniture, can make you lose your bearings. However, the breathtaking views, overlooking the island and beyond, are guaranteed to keep you grounded. Wide verandas are traditional features of the lodge, and enjoy either sea or garden facing views.

Cooling down

Our tropical gardens are planted with frangipani, bougainvillea and palms. Our swimming pools are perfect to escape the tropical heat of Ibo Island. And, on the rooftop terrace cocktails and frosty Mozambican beer can always be found.
