Some remains of Quirimbas’ colonial architecture are visible, making exploring interesting. Learn tales of Arab maritime merchants, plowing the seas in colorful dhows and watch the local woman weave Maluane cloth.  Meet some of the legendary Gessner family – a pioneer German family who have made their home on the island and planted and cultivate the vast palm plantation on Quirimba since the 1st world war. Quirimba has a lost world appeal, and, making it a day to remember.
