Dhow Excursion

Please download our PDF for additional information.

In the Archipelago, dhow sailing travel is the oldest and most traditional way of getting around. The last sea faring dhow arrived on Ibo Island, having sailed all the way from India in 1969.

A Sail Into The Past

The experience is a blend of adventure, culture, history and romance. It feels like a sail into the past, where life is lived in its own leisurely pace. The Ibo crew have a deep knowledge of the sea, and can guarantee an unforgettable voyage. The dhow excursion is an opportunity to visit the neighbouring islands, the crew bringing the enchanting history of the Archipelago to life. It is also a chance to photograph Mother Nature at her most complimenting angle, with nothing but the historic Ibo Island as your background. Unbroken sunsets, usually a legendary pink, red and orange affair, set on your skin. And, snacks and frosty cocktails are on board, should the craving speak. Getting your sea legs doesn't take very long, once out to sea on the clear open water.
