Yes, Ibo Island Lodge is a unique island experience with the opportunity to immerse oneself in a community with a rich history and culture. If you’re looking for lodge experience which mixes great food, culture, service and endless activities then Ibo Island Lodge is a great destination.
Meet Dolphins Underwater
Go snorkelling with both dolphins and turtles which is superb and ask for breakfast on the sandbar – highly recommended. Enjoy a guided bird walk and see up to 30 species of birds. The sandbank beach is a 30-minute boat ride away (weather dependent) so you cannot walk out of the lodge straight onto the beach although the lodge has beautiful pools and gardens which are shielded from the wind.
Indulge in an unforgettable experience filled with excellent food, exciting activities, beautiful interior design and history and culture, starting from the lodge and extending throughout the island. The service is absolutely excellent and the vibe is relaxed and serene. You may not want to leave but will definitely return home refreshed and mind-blown. The short flight from Ibo to Pemba is also an amazing experience! The crumbling town has been brought back to life by tourism that was kick-started by Ibo Island Lodge and it’s a wonderful place to spend a couple of days.
